In 1994, our Founder and President, Jim Watson (known as JW to his friends), came up with a unique branding concept for the skateboard and inline enthusiast called RAIL RAT® and N8 Concepts was born. After two years of marketing the brand successfully, he decided to pursue other business interests and effectively “shelved” the Company.
Fast forward to early 2007, JW decided to revive the Company and thus N8 was re-launched in March of that year. Our first brand concept for the “new” company was Never Lay Up® which we began marketing to the public in May 2007. So far, {knock on wood} the brand has really resonated with its target demographic of “hard core” golfers. We are not greedy; we will be completely satisfied when all 15 million or so of those folks have one or more of our products. If you are a "hard core" golfer or just love the game then you need to visit our website at www.ineverlayup.com, get some gear, and then just let the BIG DOG EAT!
Our second brand, POLICE THE CREASE® was launched in September 2007 and is targeted at all those athletes young and old who play one of the many goal-oriented sports. Whether you play hockey (on ice or pavement) lacrosse, soccer, or even water polo you must POLICE THE CREASE®.
In early 2008, the rat came back! We reintroduced the RAIL RAT® brand to its faithful “pack” and almost immediately followed that up with the introduction of our second golf brand RED NUMBERS®. The spring of 2008 brought the emergence of yet another golf brand called GOLF YOUR BALL® which for now puts our number of golf related marks at three and holding.
It was late summer of 2008 and JW started messing with an old school mark from his teenage years of riding motocross, and thus WHOOP-DE-DOO® (OLD SCHOOL) was built. And, one might think that we would stop at six federally registered trademarks but, then again, no. And so, a brief encounter one night with an old college friend and a bottle of scotch resulted in the emergence of our only state registered mark ‘NOOGA, which of course is short for Chattanooga, the scenic city of Tennessee not the small town in Oklahoma (although you Okies are welcome to adopt it as well.)
That’s all for now…but as always STAY TUNED!
